Facilities

The Paul Laxalt Mineral Engineering houses classrooms, research and teaching laboratories, and departmental and staff offices. The department has fully equiped process control and unit operations laboratories for teaching several courses of our curriculum.

The Department have access to mordern computer facilities for both research and teaching activities. The college of engineering has state of the art computing teaching labs and the University manages several computer clusters for research purposes.

Renewable Energy Center

The Renewable Energy Center at the University of Nevada, Reno coordinates collaborative research and educational projects at UNR including geothermal, biomass, hydrogen energy and solar. Our faculty is heavily involved with the activities of the center.
